Wind in Pines is centrally located in southern Maine on Sebago Lake within easy driving distance to both Maine's coastal and mountain regions. While our lakes and waterways are the "Maine" attraction, there is so much more to do and see in the surrounding area.

June 11, Portland Old Port Festival, Maine's largest one day festival, featuring multiple stages of music, Maine-made arts and crafts, great food, shopping and fun!

June 16, 17, 18 Naples Maine Blues Festival

June 24, Windham Summerfest, Windham's Town Day celebration of games, food, music and fireworks.

June 23 to 25 Standish Summer Spectacular, Honor and celebrate the rich history and community spirit of the villages.

July 27, 28, 29, Casco Days. Midway, parade, vendors, entertainment, carnival rides; activities for all ages. Fireworks, too!

July 21 to 23, Yarmouth Annual Clam Festival, includes a parade, free performances, juried craft show, an art show, sports contests, a carnival and a variety of free family-oriented activities.

August 11 - 12, Gray End of Summer Fest

August 12, Naples Annual Antique and Classic Boat and Car Show, 10am to 3pm at the Naples Town Docks.

September 16, Bethel Annual Harvest Fest. Mouth-watering "chowdah" and apple pies, chainsaw-carving, arts and crafts show, local music, horse-drawn wagon rides, fly-tying and casting, UAAA two-fly contest and drift boat competition, historical barn tours, apple picking, canoeing, kayaking, hiking trails.

September 24 to 30, Cumberland Farmers' Club Fair, Exhibit halls, midway, circus, livestock, animal-pulling, harness racing, demolition derby, United Maine Craftsmen Tent with over 25 Maine artisans selling handmade items.

September 30, Maine Lakes Brew Fest, hosted by Point Sebago, Maine's best beers and wines, includes foods, wines, and entertainment.

October 1 to October 8, Fryeburg Fair. (Maine's Largest Fair) Exhibit halls, pig & calf scrambles, tractor pulls, great live entertainment, midway, harness racing, parade, crafts and lots more.

October 6 to 8, Freeport Fall Festival. Freeport Annual Fall in the Village Art Festival. View the works of over 100 artists and artisans at Discovery Park on the L.L. Bean campus.

Covered Bridges

Babb's Bridge: Maine's oldest covered bridge was built in 1843. Located off River Road, 2.5 miles north of South Windham, then ½ mile west between Gorham and Windham over the Presumpscot River. Burned in 1973, but since rebuilt.

Hemlock Bridge: Built in 1857. Located off Rt 302, 3 miles northwest of East Fryeburg in the town of Fryeburg over an old channel of the Saco River. It is of Paddlesford truss construction with supporting laminated wooden arches.
